Dr. Lawrence Posner has been providing endodontic care to patients in Florida for more than 25 years. He received his specialty training and Master of Science in Dentistry in Endodontics from Boston University following more than a decade of experience as a general dentist in South Africa. His unique background gives him a broad understanding of both restorative and endodontic care, and he brings that perspective to every case — whether treating a first-time patient or managing a complex referral.
Originally trained at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, Dr. Posner moved to the United States to pursue advanced endodontic training. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to education, research, and clinical excellence. He has served as President of the Hillsborough County Research Clinic, taught at the University of Florida Dental School, and was recognized by the American Association of Endodontists for his award-winning research on cytokines, later published in the Bone medical journal.
Dr. Posner is known for his thoughtful, reassuring approach to care. He uses digital imaging and an operating microscope to ensure precision while prioritizing patient comfort at every step.

I went in for an emergency root canal. Dr. Posner was gentle and kind. He understood my fear and stress. He was a life saver and fixed my tooth. By the time I left the office I was pain free! The entire office staff was wonderful! Dr. Posner was a miracle worker!

Today I had a root canal performed by Dr. Posner, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. During the root canal, I barely felt a thing. It has now been over eight hours since the procedure, and I have not needed to take a single painkiller.This was, without a doubt, the best dental experience I have ever had.
