What Is an Intraoral Scanner?
An intraoral scanner is a handheld device that captures highly detailed 3D images of your teeth and mouth, eliminating the need for messy traditional impressions. At Silberman Endodontics, Drs. Jaime Silberman and Lawrence Posner use the advanced Aoralscan 3 intraoral scanner to ensure greater comfort, accuracy, and efficiency in treatment planning. For Intraoral scanners, when combined with Static Navigation Technology, deliver a superior dental experience by enhancing accuracy, comfort, and treatment outcomes to complex procedures. To learn more about these advanced technologies, contact our office in Boynton Beach, FL to schedule a consultation.
How Does an Intraoral Dental Scan Work?
An intraoral scan is designed to be a simple and comfortable process from start to finish. You'll be seated normally as a member of our team guides the Aoralscan 3 wand across your teeth and gums. As we scan, the device builds a 3D model of your mouth in real time. Once the scan is complete, we'll review it with you, rotating and zooming in to show specific areas of concern so you can make decisions about your treatment with confidence.
What Are the Benefits of Intraoral Imaging?
The Aoralscan 3 dental intraoral scanner provides a precise view of what's happening on the surface of your teeth, including shape, bite alignment, gum contours, and more. Compared to physical dental impressions, a 3D dental scan is faster, cleaner, more accurate, and far more comfortable for patients. Some of the benefits of intraoral scanning at Silberman Endodontics include:
- Captures fast, high-resolution 3D images of the teeth, gums, and bite
- Replaces traditional molds with a clean, comfortable scanning process
- Improves accuracy in detecting small fractures, wear patterns, or tissue changes
- Enhances treatment planning for procedures like root canal therapy or surgery
- Reduces patient discomfort and eliminates the risk of distorted impressions
- Allows for real-time image review and clearer communication with patients
- Helps monitor healing and track changes over time with digital precision

Excellent, excellent doctor and staff Reassuring and easy to understand definitely a number one rated Dr,and front desk Staff
I was in a lot of pain and my dentist told me I needed an emergency procedure. Dr. Posner at Silberman Endodontics was able to diagnose and do the root canal on the same day. He was kind and thorough in his explanations. I was very happy with the outcome and grateful he could save the tooth. My only advice is to double check with the front desk that they take your insurance. I had to follow up to confirm that it went through.
Sharon and staff are always courteous and on time! Dr. Silberman is very nice and great at what he does as well. A thumbs up overall.
