How Is Apexogenesis Performed?

First, we'll take detailed images of the tooth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) or our office's intraoral dental scanner. Depending on the condition of the tooth, we may recommend apexogenesis (if a fair amount of healthy tissue remains) or apexification (if the inner pulp is dead). After numbing the tooth, we'll carefully remove the damaged tissue while leaving any remaining pulp intact.
